Torpey Coaching and DE&I

I recently attended a DE&I Workshop for coaches.


I learned that while I'm thoughtful about diversity, equity, and inclusion - they are all things I think about as I write, create, connect, and share - I'm not as intentional as I either want to be, or is as needed, with my work in this area.


Through this workshop, it became clear to me that one of the first steps I could take toward greater intention with DE&I would be to create a diversity, equity, and inclusion statement for my business and community.

Beyond this first step, I endeavor to be more regular, more consistent in addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in my business and in my day-to-day life.


I will not be quiet any longer. I see now that bystanding is not inclusive.


Taking no action, and not using my voice as a platform to raise the voices of those who are NOT heard does not help the cause of DE&I.


I stand for diversity, equity, and the inclusion of ALL humans.

I am a safe space for all humans.


I want you to know that you are welcome here.


I will not always get it right, but I am open to learning, to working, and will do my best not to cause harm.
